Minion does it again…

Well, we just got back from the 24hr emergency vet. Minion started exhibiting the classic signs of an intestinal blockage late Saturday night, and after we tried to get some fluid into him without luck, we called ahead and took him in at around 4am. His vital signs are stable but he is definitely dehydrated. He’ll be getting some xrays to see if we can spot a blockage, but more importantly he’s getting an IV and some fluids in him to keep him stable.

For now he’s staying at the vet. We will keep you posted on any news.

One last snuggle…

It’s been a couple months since we lost Jack-Jack, and like it was with Ysabell, the pain of the loss strikes us at the most random times.

Here’s one of the last snuggles we had with him. He had just gotten an impromptu bath after we discovered him in distress in his cage, and we were trying to get him dry and keep his body temperature up. Poor little guy was so cold at the end.

Visitors!

Back in May, we had visitors. Sydney, Zoe’s mom, was back in the States for a visit, and had her new husband Andrew along. So naturally, they had to come visit us and the ferrets! Sydney was overjoyed to see Zoe again, and it was Andrew’s first experience with ferrets. Naturally, Minion was his charming self, Minsc was a total goofball, and Zoe was approving of being treated like the little furry princess she is.
