A princess in a tower…of shredded paper

002

Good news for Zoe! From what Zoe would let the vet see — which admittedly wasn’t much — her throat is fine. In fact, she was feeling rather feisty last week and was showing her displeasure by snipping at anyone who got too close. She’s been playing well and getting along with everyone, even the cousins over the holidays. Aside from her fur thinning a bit on her tail (pretty normal for her age/this time of year), she’s doing fine and having fun. 🙂

Edit: Okay, ferret photos are uploaded through the first week of January. I’ll throw a reminder in my calendar to upload more after the holidays, but feel free to send me a reminder if you get desperate for your fix. -M

  1. YAY – I am so happy to see this news about Zoe’s throat problems being better – I was hoping the prior problem had resolved! Hope she didn’t take off any toes or noses (her two favorite appendages) at her cousins’ place, and that the whole “family” is not now banned from holiday visits. She does love her shredded paper – at the holidays we would fill a big box with all of the discarded crinkled/wrinkled wrapping paper and she would love being gently tossed into it so she could climb her way out and come back for more! The closest we ever came to playing “fetch” with a ferret… After a while she wouldn’t climb back out and would just curl up and go to sleep in there for a while, until one of the boys found her hidey spot. Thanks for letting us know her throat is better!

    1. There were no humans harmed during the playtimes of the holidays. Zoe got along very well with the cousins’ ferrets 🙂

She actually hasn’t managed to bite anyone for a while now, we’re careful enough to see when she’s in the mood for attacking versus general playfulness, and react accordingly. We’ve got some long range toys-on-string that we’ll use when she’s really hyper, she can maul those to her heart’s content…when she can catch them.
